The ideal candidate will have experience developing and maintaining WordPress sites, along with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize backend Website performance.
Job Description:As a WordPress Website Crazy Good Marketing, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites. You will work closely with the marketing team to implement features, customize themes, and ensure our websites run efficiently. Your technical skills in HTML and server-side management will help you optimize website performance, improve user experience, and troubleshoot server-related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, including theme customization, plugin integration, and functionality enhancements.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented HTML and CSS code for website layout and interactive elements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress websites, plugins, and server performance.
- Manage website server setup to ensure optimal website performance and security.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness for all websites.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and project managers to bring ideas to life and deliver high-quality web experiences.
- Perform regular website backups, updates, and security checks to protect against vulnerabilities.
- Optimize website speed and SEO performance.
- Manage domain names, hosting, and DNS configurations for WordPress sites.
- Monitor server uptime and performance, working with system administrators or cloud hosting platforms as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hosting issues, such as database errors, server downtime, or slow loading times.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to WordPress development, HTML, and server management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a WordPress developer with strong knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, and best practices.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS and responsive web design.
- Experience with server-side technologies (Apache, Nginx, etc.) and web hosting management.
- Experience with DNS management.
- Knowledge of MySQL databases, and WordPress database structure.
- Strong understanding of website performance optimization and security best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with websites, plugins, themes, or server performance.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with popular themes (e.g., Astra)
- Experience with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
- Experience with Formidable Forms, ecommerce (e.g., Woocommerce) and LMS (e.g., LearnDash) plugins.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating third-party services into WordPress.
