Operations Manager 

The Castle Rock Chamber serves the needs of our business, nonprofit and civic community representing Castle Rock and the surrounding region.  The Chamber cultivates a thriving business community through engagement, collaboration, and advocacy. 

 

Our Operations Manager is responsible for creating a positive experience for members and guests of the Community.  This self-starter must be energetic, efficient, and professional to ensure the Chamber’s program of work is carried out efficiently and in an engaging manner. 

 

Responsibilities (include and are not limited to) 

  • Daily management of phones, mail, and bookkeeping necessities
  • Manage invoicing, accounts receivables, and accounts payables for Chamber and Chamber Foundation
  • Office administration and Membership support
  • Greet visitors and members in office
  • Maintain clean and professional office environment
  • Manage conference room schedule and meeting setup
  • Supply management and technology support
  • Report generation for membership management and outreach
  • Administrative support to President & CEO, collaborate with team as needed
  • Maintain chamber office calendar and membership system
  • Support Board of Directors meetings, record minutes
  • Assist with collateral for events (signage, maps, marketing support, etc)
  • Support “Shop the Rock” and the Visitor Center, including website of visitcastlerock.org
  • Chamber and Chamber Foundation program support, including and not limited to liaison role with Leads Groups
  • Assist with additional Chamber programs, projects, and responsibilities as needed to support the organization and team.

 

 

Must-Have Skills

  • Positive and professional appearance.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organization skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, minimum two-year office administration preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - maintain a high level of engagement and problem-solving.
  • Flexibility and versatility with varying hours for meetings and events.
  • Director of first impressions.  Be approachable and friendly greeting visitors, Chamber members, and guests.
  • Work effectively in a team environment supporting growth and retention.
  • In-depth knowledge of Castle Rock and the surrounding communities to support Visitor Center and member inquiries.
  • Proficiencies with technology including CRM database management, Microsoft Office 365, social media platforms, artificial intelligence for the workplace, and other technologies.
  • Desire to have fun, make a difference, and thrive in an ever-changing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of 501c6 and 501c3 organizations.
  • Canva or other graphic design experience helpful, but not required.

 

 

The Environment

The Castle Rock Chamber is a welcoming, strengths-based chamber with dynamic team players committed to the success of our organization and community.  While staff are given flexibility, they are accountable to performance standards ensuring objectives are achieved.  Some early morning, evening, and weekend hours and events are a part of our work environment.  All team members are asked to attend and support Chamber and Chamber Foundation programs/events as deemed appropriate and necessary.  Applicants must be able to travel efficiently into the office as well as to program locations throughout the region. 

 

 

Compensation

  • Exempt salary range $60,000/year - $70,000/year, based on experience
  • 17 paid holidays, plus accrued Paid Time Off (PTO)
