Position: Member Outreach and Development
The Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing a WOW experience for our members. The Member Services Team at the Castle Rock Chamber is the best of the best at ensuring that we clearly understand, communicate, and deliver on the needs of our members. They apply creative solutions to ensure that all members are supported in the way they need.
Responsibilities (include and are not limited to):
Identify engage potential new members
o Research potential new members through strategies such as: new business license lists, observation of new developments, partner outreach, local advertising, referrals, social media and more.
o Connect with potential new members through visits, phone calls and other outreach strategies.
o Share information about the Castle Rock Chamber and the benefits of engaging with potential new members.
o Follow-up with potential new members and walk them through joining the Chamber.
o Assist with onboarding new members with Chamber CRM system to ensure new members are set up for success.
o Schedule multiple in-person and/or virtual meetings with potential new members to assess their wants, needs and business strategy to leverage membership with the Chamber.
o Effectively manage calendar to respond timely to potential new member inquiries for Chamber engagement.
o Positively communicate mission of the Chamber and value to potential new members.
Build relationships and expand Chamber partnerships and sponsorships
o Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with Chamber members to drive the growth of the member services department.
o Find and engage new event sponsors.
o Support Chamber member events by attending programs and events.
o Make connections between members and partners to help others build professional networks.
o Effectively communicate Chamber programs and mission to strengthen community and opportunities for member participation.
o Collaborate with Chamber staff to support events, initiatives, team, and committee activities.
Enhance membership retention through outreach
o Review and support retention efforts of existing membership.
o Connect with existing members to increase retention volume and strategy.
o Collaborate with team to engage existing members targeting retention through phone calls, direct meetings, in office visits and other contact methods deemed useful to strengthen relationships.
o Share information about the Chamber and benefits to leverage membership effectively for business/organization vision and strategy.

· Flexibility: Adjust to short-term change quickly and calmly, so that you can deal with unexpected problems or tasks effectively
· Business development: Form and nurture long-term partnerships that lead to growth opportunities between organizations
· Public speaking and presentation: Excellent written, phone, and verbal communication abilities that command audience respect
· Technological proficiency: Comfort with technology including CRM database management, Office 365, basic social media and contact management
· Proactive and self-motivated professional: Able to identify opportunities, streamline processes, and drive membership engagement with minimal supervision.
The Environment:
The Castle Rock Chamber team is a strengths-based chamber with team members who are dynamic and committed to the success of our organization and community. While team members are given flexibility- they are held accountable to performance measurements to ensure objectives are achieved. Early mornings and occasional evening meetings are a part of our work schedule and all team members are asked to attend as appropriate. Applicants must be able to travel efficiently to off-site meeting locations throughout the region. This position may require the employee to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position as deemed necessary.
Benefits:
· Salary of $57,000/year plus commission
